India vs South Africa 2018 ODI and T20 Series Preview

Two narrow losses in the test series followed by a consolatory victory in the third test - this means a lot to team India. Before the test series kicked off, this team was considered to be one of the most positive Indian team that would ever visit South Africa for a bilateral series. Irrespective of the 2-1 scoreline in the test series, they proved their mettle. Now its time for them to yet again prove how good they are and provide enough resistance to the resolute South African team. India would first play a six match ODI series followed by a T20 International series. This post will provide you details on the squads, live streaming telecast and schedule.

Overview

With about 14 months to go for the ICC 2019 World Cup, all the teams have geared up their preparations. A strong indication from one of the Indian selection committee member that Dhoni will play the next world cup has brought some cheer in the Indian camp. His presence brings a lot of calm in the Indian camp that is well directed by Kohli's aggression.

Virat Kohli has been on a golden run so far as a captain. We wish he leads India to some remarkable overseas series wins. Actually the way teams prepare for World cups, overseas bilateral series (especially test matches) need equal efforts. This ODI and T20 team for India comes with a lot of experience and positive intent.

Likes of Virat, Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Rahane, Dhoni, Bhuvaneshwar bring a lot of thought leadership that guides the youngsters pretty well. Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Chahal, Kuldeep are the future of Indian cricket.

On the other hand, South Africa would certainly be in a shock after the third test defeat but they take a lot of pride in beating the top ranked test team. Now they need to safeguard their top position in the ODI rankings. If they manage to win atleast three out of the six matches, India won't be able to achieve the coveted number one spot in ODI rankings. India and South Africa are separated by just one points in the ICC ODI rankings table.

Overall, this promises to be another tough tussle between one of the two best cricket teams in the world. Enjoy every bit of this cricketing action on Sony Liv and Sony Ten.
