Asia Cup 2018 Preview
We witnessed a thrilling Asia Cup last time which was played in a T20 format. This edition would be played in a 50 over format and would be hosted in the UAE. Before this Asia Cup was held in UAE in 1984 and 1995. Five full members viz. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan would play this tournament along with the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifiers winner Hong Kong. It would have been a fun for Indian fans if the tournament would have been hosted here. It was actually scheduled to be played in India but due to political situation between India and neighboring country Pakistan, the Asia Cup was shifted to the United Arab Emirates.

Tournament Format
We would be seeing a new format this time. Two groups with three teams each where top two teams from each group would progress to Super Four section. Top two teams from there would play in the finals for the coveted trophy.
Groups
Group A - India, Pakistan, Hong Kong
Group B - Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan
Virat Kohli has been rested for the Asia Cup and Rohit Sharma would lead the team in his absence. Fans would also be thrilled to watch MS Dhoni in action.
